About me

Chemical engineer by training. Builder by nature.

I'm Uzo Tammy Nwokoro. Over two decades I've moved from engineering to operations, from operations to founding businesses, and from business into software — carrying the same instinct the whole way: find the real problem, then build the thing that fixes it.

The long way round

Four chapters, one thread.

  1. 01

    Engineering foundations

I studied Chemical Engineering at the Federal University of Technology in Nigeria, where I was elected President of the Chemical Engineering Society (Student Chapter) and first started writing code. After graduating I spent a year in project management at Shell Nigeria Gas Ltd — a short stint that set the tone for everything that followed.

  2. 02

    Operations, computerised

I moved into the distribution sector and led the company's move to computerised operations, run as a project from day one. Streamlining those processes earned me the role of Business Operations Manager, which I held for three years — blending technical skill with the day-to-day realities of running a business.

  3. 03

    Founder

In 2009 I founded my own company, investing in and redistributing alcoholic beverages through a demanding, regulated market. In 2015 I co-founded and led a second business. Those years taught me what software has to get right when real money, real stock and real people depend on it.

  4. 04

    Technology, full-time

Today I build the systems I once wished I had: SCusH, an operations platform in production since 2021; Networth, a multi-currency financial tracker with an AI advisor; and CP Devotional, a public app on Google Play. I graduated with honours from Nova Scotia Community College's Advanced Certificate in IT Programming with AI, and I've deepened my project-management practice through Google's career certificate programme.

“I'm drawn to the business case — the place where technology and business sense meet to create something people can actually use.”
